Fostering a legacy of physical, mental and spiritual wellness by supporting tobacco control changemaker’s across California.
The California Department of Public Health’s – Tobacco Control Program has funded the AACC to work to rebuild/increase the capacity of African American/African Immigrant communities to conduct meaningful and relevant tobacco control programs and activities statewide.
To work collectively in love, unity, and cultural humility to educate, empower and engage our communities to end commercial tobacco use.
VISION
We believe the elimination of commercial tobacco use is necessary for the health and prosperity of the Black community. We will work towards a tobacco free California where the tobacco industry no longer has influence over our leaders, organizations, and families.
The AACC provides culturally relevant support and tailored assistance to tobacco control programs, non-traditional partners and the greater community. We are working to engage the African American/African Immigrant communities in our movement.
