Jasmine Hooper
Council Member
Jasmine Hooper is dedicated to creating positive change through her work at the American Heart Association, where she has led impactful initiatives to advance health equity and tobacco control. With a focus on inclusion and equity, Jasmine has spearheaded policy campaigns and coalitions, championing tobacco control policies and promoting wellness in the Black community.

Graduating from Spelman College with a B.A. and receiving an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University, Jasmine is committed to addressing health disparities, particularly within African American communities. In 2024, she completed the African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council’s Quantum Leap Leadership program, which further invigorated her dedication to combating the harmful effects of tobacco and reducing health inequities.

Jasmine brings a wealth of experience in legislative strategy, media advocacy, lobbying, and research, all of which have been instrumental in driving her initiatives forward. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, she is deeply rooted in her community and passionate about fostering sustainable change.
Outside of work, Jasmine finds joy in singing, dancing, acting, and exploring the outdoors. Her passion for promoting health equity, coupled with her creativity and dedication, makes her a valuable advocate for lasting impact in Metro Atlanta and beyond.
